The course introduces the basics of solid-state NMR spectroscopy from a practical rather than theoretical perspective, yet encompassing relatively advanced and recent techniques. It illustrates what and how structural information may gained by solid-state NMR experiments, with emphasis on applications to materials chemistry, in particular inorganic materials. Results of organic/biosolid systems will also be provided.

Basic knowledge of NMR spectroscopy. M.Sc. or equivalent in Chemistry. M.Sc. students in their final term in one of the subjects are encouraged to apply as well.

Obligatory attendance at lectures and calculation exercises and homework.
