Sisältö:

Starting from 2019 Janurary onwards, TJTSM54 course a intensive, project-based course. The focus of the course is on advanced themes surrounding the information systems dvelopment paradigm. Such themes include Cyber-Physical System development, Gartner-development model, DevOps, BizOps and DevSecOps, Essence theory of software engineering, blockchain software engineering and continuous software engineering issues. In addition, the course discusses a selection of topical and emerging themes related to systems development. The project topic is selected from the themes presented and it is executed in an intensive format where a concrete, tangible deliverable is produced.

Osaamistavoitteet:

After completing the course, the student understands a variety of complex systems we interact with on a daily basis by applying principles of novel theories and systems thinking. Pertaining the selected focus of the project, the student can analyze, evaluate and participate in designing such systems using a selection of tools and methodologies, and is also able to assess these methodologies and their applicability in different operational contexts and from different perspectives.

Esitiedot:

The student attending the course has completed the IS&CS BSc studies and has a basic understanding on information systems analysis, design and development using a specific modeling and programming language. The student is familiar with the software production process, it's phases and different development methods and has basic understanding of different enterprise and system architectures. The student is capable of analyzing scientific literature and writing academic text with in-depth discussion.
