Sisältö: | [Ei käännetty kuvausta.] The course is a combined lecture/seminar course consisting of all in all 8 sessions. Participants are required to read one article for each session except the introductory and final one and prepare to present comments/questions on the argument or issues that it raises. Some of these comments are discussed in the session, whereas some of them may form the basis for later discussions. The role of the teacher is to guide the students through these discussions by presenting the background and context of texts and issues. Participants are encouraged to reflect upon the aesthetic dimension of contemporary art and culture, professional and everyday life. The texts will be made available in Optima/the Ebrary collection. |
Suoritustavat: | [Ei käännetty kuvausta.] Participants are required to read the texts in advance, to attend the sessions and prepare to actively contribute to the discussion. The sessions are dependent on participants! In addition, participants write an essay on a chosen theme or author, approx. 4 000 words and using additional sources, and submit it by March 31st, preferably in printed form and in Pauline von Bonsdorffs mailbox (at the entrance to Juomatehdas building, on the right-hand side after entering the glass door that leads to the stairs). An enlarged bibliography with further readings on the themes will be distributed at the beginning of the course. |
