Kurssin suoritusoikeus on vain niillä opiskelijoilla, jotka ovat saaneet opinto-oikeuden Kognitiivisen neurotieteen opintokokonaisuuteen.

Contents:

During the course the students will learn the basics of invasive and non-invasive techniques of imaging brain activity. Main focus will be on human EEG and MEG recording techniques.

Learning outcomes:

After completing the course students are able to understand benefits and pitfalls of different tools measuring brain activity, topics where they can be applied and ethical issues involved.

Prerequisites:

Previous studies: CIBR110 Anatomy and physiology of the central and autonomic nervous system or corresponding knowledge

Lectures, demonstrations and laboratory work.

Tenttikysymykset annetaan 18.1., vastaukset palautetaan viim. 1.2.

Luennot suomeksi tai englanniksi riippuen osallistujista.

Laboratorioharjoituksia (EEG ja MEG) myöhemmin sovittavan aikataulun mukaan.

Suoritusmuoto take away -tentti, jossa kymmeneen kysymykseen vastataan itse haetun kirjallisuuden perusteella kahden viikon aikana.
